Our Promises to You

Sustainability.

We know that, without a thriving planet, none of us would exist. That’s why our first and most important principle is being good to the environment. That means using 100% renewable energy sources such as wind energy and pedal power. That means using biodegradable soaps and reclaiming our gray water. Additionally, we do everything we can not to waste any of the wool we process.

Transparency.

We want you to know every step of the process in fiber processing. We want you to know what animal, what farm, and what mill the yarn you use comes from. We want to be honest about our pricing models and our profit-sharing plans. Five percent of our profits go to the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde to acknowledge the land we are on, and the rest is shared cooperatively amongst the mill and its members.

Local Suppliers.

Transportation and shipping accounts for the biggest percentage of greenhouse gas release, which means shopping local is one of the best things you, as a consumer, can do to prevent climate change. We go to great lengths to find local sources for our supplies, and almost all our clients and customers reside in the Pacific Northwest.

Kindness.

We never forget that our high-quality, sustainable wools and yarns come from animals. We treat our own animals like business partners, making sure they have the best care available. For this reason, we only work with farmers who provide individual care to their flocks.
